Phewwww I can now said that I am totally done with the whole b-school admission process...well, not quite, now is the waiting period, Wharton in 3 days and Haas in a week. In the meantime, I can't stop analyzing what my chance of getting into Haas is. The adcom told me during SS that, they interview 22% of the applicants, 75% of interviewed appplicants will be admitted and on last round Haas admitted 130 applicants....So, what is my chance? I guess i better stop doing that coz it's not under my control.

Having said that, my boyfriend has imposed a strict policy of a 5 cents fine everytime i bring up MBA-related subject. Well...thanks to my obsession, since post SS, I have rackep up a fine of 55 cents...11 violations....

Anyhow, SS went well and overall I was happy to meet with the other applicants, they were friendly. But the current students were the ones that blown me away, I got to meet some of them who answered my questions in Businessweek Forum. They are funny, informative and very nurturing....go Haas Ambassador.

Besides getting interviewed, I also attended variety of panels during SS such as career panel (to talk about what the career service is working on and how it benefits the students), student panels (people asking question about mostly students life), and campus tour (i didn't really need one since I was one of Cal a few years ago).

The interview was my first event which meant i got to enjoy the rest of SS events without having to worry about the interview. I was interviewed by the first year students. First thing that he did was to welcome me into the room and to my surprise, started to converse with me in Mandarin, i mean fluent mandarin....I was dumbfounded for a few nanoseconds but quickly composed myself and replied him with my charmest self in Mandarin. After that he began to grill me, mostly on my resume. Luckily, he used to be doing what i am doing now so it's really easy to explain the thing. And of course the regular, why MBA, why Haas, short-term and long-term goals. At the end, he said that Haas and I are a good fit....I hope he's right...we shall see

And now the waiting part which i hate but nevertheless have to go through. The disucssion board in Wharton student2student is full with applicants sharing what they're doing while waiting. I chuckled on reading "I try to treat myself by getting my nail done but how can I when I am crossing my fingers" I am lucky that work is keeping me busy though i must admit that I visit this discussion boards whenever i can.
